POEMS THAT GLOW: RERUN! | writing light in a dark season | online with Jen Feroze | Mon 19th Jan | 7–8.30pm

£30.00

DUE TO POPULAR DEMAND, WE ARE RERUNNING THIS LITTLE GEM OF A WORKSHOP AGAIN

As the dark night draws in (on what many people call ‘Blue Monday’), join Jen Feroze for a gentle, generative and uplifting writing workshop. We'll hunker down and look for the light, with a series of writing prompts and exercises that will encourage you to think about where you find comfort, brightness and spark.

Jen says: ‘There's a definite twinkly magic about this time of year, but there's a wildness to the season too, a feeling of being on the cusp between beginnings and endings, joy and sadness, light and dark.’

We'll be examining this liminality together, with scope for the creation of poems about people, memory, nature and place, shining light on what's important to us, and leaving with new flickering flames of ideas – a row of personal candles in a darkened window.

Come prepared for a cozy and inspiring workshop over 90 minutes and expect to leave with many seeds of new poems and ideas for many more!

Numbers limited to 12.

Fee: £30

Places are limited and go fast so early booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.

Jen Feroze lives by the sea in Essex. Her poetry has appeared in publications including Poetry Wales, Magma, Under the Radar, Butcher's Dog, Black Iris, The Interpreter's House, And Other Poems and The Alchemy Spoon.
