Join Kate Oldfield for a day of mindful noticing and gentle writing prompts in the beautiful surroundings of High Paradise Farm. With wild moors behind and, what James Herriot called, ‘the most beautiful view in England’ spreading out below, this is a fantastic opportunity to make time for yourself and find your own voice, in Paradise.

All are welcome, whatever level you believe yourself to be. Kate can tailor the day (and the writing prompts) to individual needs.

Most importantly, it is fun and friendly. Just come with a pen and paper and a beginner’s mind.

  • Everyone. Whether you are a beginner (even if you consider yourself a reluctant writer), or a writer with lots of experience, this gentle, supportive day full of easy prompts and gentle exercises is for you. Just come with an open mind.

  • Kate Oldfield: writer, poet, writing mentor and workshop facilitator. Kate became qualified in therapeutic and reflective writing practices in 2020 (Professional Writing Academy), during the Pandemic lockdown, after many of her creative writing classes turned naturally towards writing for wellbeing in a supportive community. Since then, she has been running creative writing and writing-for-wellbeing workshops in community and school settings and online.
