Poetry submission tips: #3: Beginnings & Endings
“Beginning and endings of a poem are profoundly important. Sometimes we get a third or halfway through the poem and it hasn’t really begun. Take time to craft your beginnings.
The same thing goes for your ending. You do not want to leave your poem hanging in the air
You want to bookend your poems. I look for beautiful ending, and you want the reader to go, ‘Wow, I love that ending’. ”
