Our next festival will be on Saturday 21st September 2024.

Join us for a wonderful celebration of the Oxford Canal  its attractions and its colourful history. Proceeds will go towards the restoration of ‘Kilsby’ a community theatre boat  for everyone to enjoy.

Kate and The Writing Well will be running the Spoken Word tent for theatre, poetry and an open mic, history talks, a creative writing competition and the now world-famous quiz, ‘University Challenged’.

*Vanessa Lampert, award-winning Oxfordshire poet

*Children’s Open Poetry workshop with Roy McFarlane

*Children’s Poetry Competition winners, with prizes presented by Sir Philip Pullman

*Mark Davies history walk and talk

*Jen Feroze poems by request typed for you on her sturdy typewriter

*Univerity Challenged: skewed, irreverent pantomime of a quiz

*Winners announced of the 18+ inaugural OxCanalFest Poetry Competition

*Roy McFarlane (Canal Laureate) and friends - including Vanessa Lampert; Arthur; Jen Feroze and storyteller, Lorna Burchell.

*Hannah Hay and the Divas of Jazz
